A royal pattern from a single palm
Palm King began as one photograph of a palm crown, taken in Australia. Madlen Duderstedt mirrored it four times, horizontally and vertically, until the fronds came together as a single geometric form: the order hidden in nature, often called sacred geometry.
The image is in black and white, so nothing distracts from the pattern. What remains feels calm and ordered, regal and proud, yet fresh and free at the same time.
