"Body of Nature" Exhibition - A Dialogue Between Body and Landscape

Beginning of 2026, Berlin-based photographer and artist Madlen Duderstedt presents a focused selection of works from her ongoing series Body of Nature at Fincan Neukölln. These images explore the delicate interplay between human form and the natural world — a quiet dialogue shaped by years spent in places that have left a deep emotional imprint.

At the Edge of Skin and Earth

Body of Nature is an ongoing exploration of how landscape and human form subtly intertwine. Through layered imagery, fragments of skin blend into earth, sky, or water. The photographs are self-portraits — intimate compositions where the artist’s body becomes part of the environment.

The series moves between proximity and dissolution, between tenderness and vastness. The images were created in places that have grounded and shaped her: New Zealand, Australia, and Portugal. These landscapes — open, raw, and deeply atmospheric — became mirrors for her own internal shifts.

Where Boundaries Dissolve

Body of Nature is less about depicting nature and more about sensing connection: how the body becomes part of the world it moves through, and how landscapes reflect our own emotional states. It is a subtle, ongoing inquiry into presence, fluidity, and the spaces in between.
