One mountain lake, layered from its own reflections
Morskie Oko – the “Eye of the Sea” – lies in Poland’s Tatra Mountains. Madlen Duderstedt photographed it in 2019, on a trip to Zakopane and the walk up to the lake.
Every layer of this digital multiple exposure comes from the lake itself: the water, the peaks reflected on its surface and the original view, merged into one image.
A place seen several times at once
Look closer and the lake keeps unfolding – a quiet, many-layered portrait of a single mountain lake.
